  • Chuntao Xie

    XIE Chuntao, vice-president and professor of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee (also known as the Chinese Academy of Governance), has been teaching and researching CPC history at the School since 1988. He has assumed many posts in the School, such as president and editor-in-chief of the School’s publishing arm, head of the CPC History Department, head of the Educational Administration Department, and member of the School Administration Committee. The works that he has compiled include A History of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, Why and How the CPC Works in China, Governing the Party: How the CPC Works, Governing China: How the CPC Works, Fighting Corruption: How the CPC Works, How the CPC Tackles Challenges, and Why Is China’s Reform and Opening-up Successful?. A delegate at the 19th CPC National Congress and an alternate member of the 19th CPC Central Committee, he was honored as a model worker by the State Council of the PRC, and selected for China’s Ten Thousand Talents Program as a leading scholar in the fields of philosophy and the social sciences.
