Organized around the coherent and cohesive Generalist Intervention Model, this guide to generalist social work practice incorporates the knowledge, skills, and professional values you need to work with individuals and families, as well as the foundation to work with groups, communities, and organizations. Although much of the book relates to micro-level skills and practice that form the basis for working with groups, organizations, and communities (e.g., relationship-building, interviewing, and problem-solving), the authors also emphasize how micro, mezzo, and macro skills can be interlinked -- a key idea in most courses.
