  • Tommy Tang

    Associate Professor Tommy Tang, B.Soc.Sc. (Hons), Med, PhD, SFHEA has taught economics and statistics at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels for more than two decades, with main research interest in economics education. His contribution to teaching in economics and statistics was recognised at the university and national levels, winning several teaching awards, including the prestigious Australian Learning and Teaching Council Teaching Excellence Award in 2011, and his appointment to the Australian Office of Learning and Teaching Economics Learning Standards Working Party to develop the learning standards for undergraduate and postgraduate economics programs in 2012 - 13. He has taken several administrative roles at university, has been selected as one of the 24 Inaugural reviewers in the QUT ExPRET (Expert Peer Review of Educational Practice) Program and is a senior fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy.

  • Dinusha Dhamaratna

    Dr Dinusha Dharmaratna BSc (Hons), MEd, PhD worked at the Monash University for six years as the first-year Economics coordinator prior to joining Monash College. She is currently working as a unit leader for Macroeconomics and teaches Economics and Finance. Not only she has taught and developed curriculum for first- and second-year level micro and macroeconomics at Monash University and Monash College but also authored a book and a book chapter in the area of environmental and resources economics. In addition to her interest in Economics, she also actively engages in many teaching and learning research projects in blended learning strategies such as gamification, peer-review assessments, principles of cognitive psychology to promote collaboration and engagement.
